During its 40 year tenure as one of the finest guesthouses in Munster, Milltown House was awarded 4 stars by Fáilte Ireland, the Irish Tourist Board. This is their highest guesthouse classification. Then came 5 years of closure before Milltown House was purchased by Patrick & Stephen in 2014.

In conjunction with Fáilte Ireland, we are now working on regaining our previous 4-star classification. Our guests consistently rate award-winning Milltown House excellent in every respect.

At Your Service

In 2015, Milltown House has the honour of being featured on one of Irish National TV’s top-rated programmes, At Your Service. Renowned 5-star hotel experts, John and Francis Brennan, team up with our co-owners, Patrick Wade and Stephen McPhilemy, to help restore Milltown House to its former glory.
The episode is filled with light-hearted moments, a few tense scenes, and stunning footage from a magical summer on Dingle Harbour. It is watched by a huge portion of the Irish public and remains a proud milestone in our journey.

Milltown House has been one of Ireland’s premier guesthouses since 1969. After a five-year closure beginning in 2009, we purchase this old beauty in 2014 and lovingly restore it. In our very first season, we are honoured to be named among the Top 100 Places to Stay on the Wild Atlantic Way.
Now, as we proudly welcome guests into Season 5, our story continues—rooted in heritage, restored with passion, and always unfolding on the shores of beautiful Dingle Bay.
